Ruth Smith Place

I offer a space for deep connection, embodied expression, and personal transformation.

At The Ruth Smith Place, this work is about more than services — it's about holding space for wholeness.

My practice blends years of experience in the arts, therapeutic bodywork, and teaching into a multi-dimensional offering of care. From biodynamic craniosacral therapy to creative retreats, radio to ritual, I help people access their aliveness and return to themselves.

Based in County Galway, I work with individuals and groups across Ireland and beyond—artists, seekers, women in transition, educators, and anyone longing for presence, creativity, and real connection. Every session, workshop, or performance is guided by curiosity, compassion, and cyclical wisdom.

You’re not just booking a session — you’re stepping into a space that honours your story.
Whether you’re recovering from burnout, rediscovering your voice, learning to move with the rhythm of your cycle, or simply needing rest and reconnection—my role is to support your unfolding.

Through a trauma-informed and heart-led approach, I offer not just healing, but a creative invitation: to weave presence, hold aliveness, and cultivate boldness in every part of your life.

Who I Work With

My clients range from creatives, carers, and seekers to community groups, educators, and individuals in transition — across Galway and beyond.

Individuals seeking body-based healing and support: Whether you’re recovering from burnout, navigating grief, or simply in need of deep rest and reconnection, I offer biodynamic craniosacral therapy, massage, and trauma-informed touch to support your journey.

Women exploring cyclical wisdom and embodied living: I hold space for women who want to reconnect with their menstrual cycles, embrace their rhythms, and cultivate self-awareness through ritual, movement, and seasonal practice.

Artists, musicians, and creatives craving expression: Whether you’re stuck in a creative block or seeking new ways to express your truth, I offer facilitation, mentorship, and space for creative play and process.

Community groups and outreach projects: With a background in arts outreach and education, I work with schools, arts centres, and community organisations to deliver inclusive, empowering workshops rooted in creativity, voice, and embodiment.

People in transition — life, identity, or purpose: If you're in a moment of change—starting over, letting go, or stepping into something new—I offer grounding practices and compassionate facilitation to support your becoming.

Facilitators, teachers, and space-holders: For those who guide others, I offer spaces to reconnect with your own body, presence, and creativity—so you can keep showing up with integrity, energy, and heart.

The heart of this work is relationship. Many of the people I work with return again and again—through life’s shifts, cycles, and creative seasons—because they feel held, seen, and supported.

Whether it’s a one-to-one session, a retreat, or a collaborative project, I’m here to walk alongside you with presence, curiosity, and care.

If you’re looking for a space that nurtures your body, your creativity, and your becoming—reach out, I’d love to connect.

I’m based in County Galway, and while I don’t share my full address online, I’m never far from a warm welcome (and a pot of tea).

How I Help You Grow

Growth isn’t just about doing more — it’s about becoming more connected, more whole, and more alive. Here’s how I support your growth, healing, and creative unfolding:

Embodied practices to reconnect with your body’s wisdom:
Through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, massage, and trauma-informed yoga, I help you slow down, listen inward, and build a deeper relationship with your body—so you can move through life with more clarity, calm, and connection.

Creative exploration to unlock expression and joy:
Whether through music, writing, or performance, I offer spaces that invite play, boldness, and authenticity. You don’t need to be a “professional” artist—just willing to show up and see what unfolds.

Group work that fosters connection and shared learning:
From community workshops to creative retreats, I design group experiences that are inclusive, trauma-informed, and deeply human. Together, we co-create spaces for learning, laughter, and deep transformation.

1-to-1 support that honours your story and your pace:
Every person is different. That’s why I take time to truly understand your needs, your rhythms, and your readiness. Whether you’re working through something specific or simply seeking support in your becoming—I meet you with presence and care.
